Vettel managed to damage his car on the kerbs and acquired a drive-through penalty after crossing the white line exiting the pits. Just like the rest of the UK in this miserable summer, Silverstone was soaked by endless rain with qualifying held up for an hour and a half as conditions became too dangerous to continue. Before the break – halfway through Q2 – Jenson Button had already succumbed to the conditions after slowing under a yellow flag after Timi Glock spun on a wet track leaving Jenson no time to set a time.
New bosses for Volvo and Ford of Europe

Geely Motors is buying Volvo from Ford and the two companies confirmed today what we all suspected: that Volvo CEO Stephen Odell will leave the top office in Gothenburg and head up Ford of Europe. The new chairman of Volvo is Li Shufu, Geely's top man.
