I've done a lot of research on fender quality and, have found the top quality buoys in the world from DAN-FENDER in Denmark. The Danish are known for building fine yachts and have brought the same level of craftsmanship to DAN-FENDER products. The valve is the single largest cause of buoys leaking and DAN-FENDER has solved the problem. Please check the picture of the valve used in these commercial grade HEAVY DUTY fenders. It's constructed of brass and stainless and doesnt leak! In addition to the valve, there is also a screw in plug on top of the valve. DAN-FENDER INFLATES AND SUBMERGES EVERY HEAVY DUTY BUOY BEFORE IT IS SENT TO YOU. I know that you can find cheaper fenders on Ebay but fenders are the only thing between your boat and the dock, so buy the best to protect your investment. The buoys are easily inflated by compressor using a blower tip. If you don't have access to a compressor I have the pictured hand pump available for an extra $8.50. Current Design Director, Geoff Upex, is to retire from the company at the end of 2006 after 23 years service and, to ensure a smooth handover, will continue to play a key role in the launch of new products including the all-new Freelander2/LR2 over the coming months. Gerry McGovern has been Director, Advanced Design, Land Rover, since 2004 and has spent the majority of his career with Land Rover and Rover Group in UK, apart from a short period with Lincoln-Mercury in the USA.

Sat, 03 Aug 2013The Audi A3 (pictured) gets a new 181bhp TDI and LED headlights It still seems astonishing that car makers can match really quite powerful performance with almost parsimonious fuel consumption, but modern turbo diesels and high pressure fuel injection are delivering seemingly silly combinations of performance and economy. Like the 2.0 litre diesel Audi are now offering in the new A3. The new 2.0 litre diesel, which is now available on the new A3 and Sportback (with the A3 saloon to follow) – gets a very decent 181bhp and 280lb/ft of torque, which is enough to hit 62mph in just 7.3 seconds.
