Aston Martin sales and revenue up in 2013 Aston Martin has revealed its results for 2013 – its centenary year – which show the coolest car brand on the planet managed to increase sales by 11 per cent – to around 4,200 cars – and revenue to £519 million, an increase of 13 per cent over 2012. Aston Martin’s earnings before EBITDA (that’s earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization) were up a strong 22 per cent to £84.8 million, demonstrating strong operating profitability, although actual earnings were marginal. But Aston Martin are bullish about the performance, and equally bullish about the future.

Interior Motives magazine, sister publication of Car Design News, has revealed its shortlist for the seventh annual Interior Motives Design Awards. Handed down by a ten-strong panel of industry experts, the shortlist will be further reviewed before three finalists and a winner for each of the eight categories - and the overall competition winner - is ultimately selected and awarded on the eve of the second press day of the Frankfurt auto show. Mercedes GLK 'will come in right hand drive'

CAR Online has spoken to a senior engineer on the programme and has the inside line on Merc's junior 4x4 - a shrunken, and rather angular, mini M-class. It would be the first right-hooker M-B passenger car with 4-Matic, paving the way for future 4WD versions of the C-class and the next E-class.
