Complete Set of Four 1969-73 Porsche 911 912 Door Folding & Map Pockets

If you're the lucky owner of an early 911 or 912, then you already know that the once plentiful original interior parts for these cars are becoming harder and harder to find. That's especially true for door components like the pockets because they tended to take so much abuse over the years. With NOS pockets running $1,000 each (or more) and inferior reproduction parts not far behind, these are an excellent option at a fraction of the price.

Recently removed from a very clean 1970 911S, these door pockets are correct for all Porsche 911's and 912's from 1969 through 1973.

These pockets are 100% original and much nicer than most that you see offered for sale. No, they're not perfect, but this is a matching set and they're 100% complete with all hinges intact, no missing silver trim and very good original structure. They'd mount right up to a driver today and look great but they'd also be an excellent starting point for restoration at some point in the future? I've included multiple high-resolution photos showing the exact condition of these parts.

For U.S. customers, I will ship these items for $22.00.

For international customers, the shipping and customs quote for this item is based on the eBay Global Shipping Program. Depending on the country in which you reside, there may be less expensive shipping options available. If you wish to explore other shipping options, you must contact me for a shipping quote before making your purchase. If you make your purchase (by using Buy It Now) before contacting me, I will be unable to offer you alternative shipping methods.

I’m not a dealer and I don’t do this to make a living. I’m a collector who owns more than a dozen vintage Porsches and the parts I have for sale on eBay are all parts that, at one time or another, were purchased for one of my cars or were actually on one of my cars. I own some of the finest Porsches in the world. I don’t own junk and I don’t sell junk. Thanks for looking.

2012 Honda Civic faces limited recall for possible fuel leak

Fri, 20 May 2011

Honda is recalling 1,156 copies of the redesigned 2012 Civic because of a potential fuel leak. A mechanical seal in the fuel line on some vehicles was misplaced during assembly, leaving a gap where two segments of pipe attach and allowing for the potential of leakage. No injuries or fires have been reported in relation to the glitch, and most of the affected vehicles are still in inventory and will be fixed before going up for sale.

Camouflaged Cadillac ELR spotted on the road

Mon, 03 Sep 2012

Autoweek reader Josh Lindquist recently snapped these photos of what may be a camouflaged Cadillac ELR cruising around metropolitan Detroit. While the photos don't show the car from every angle, its lines are strikingly similar to those on the ELR featured on Cadillac's official Web site. The ELR first appeared as the Cadillac Converj concept in 2009.

Ford gets another NO on Volvo

Thu, 05 Feb 2009

And the beat goes on… Ford has been trawling the world’s car manufacturers (and Governments) for what seems like forever, in an increasingly desperate attempt to off-load its Swedish subsidiary, Volvo. They appear to have tried everyone from the Swedish Government to BMW and Mercedes, with a fair dose of Chinese firms in between (has Ford offered to sell it to you yet? Don’t worry, it won’t be long!) And now Reuters are reporting that yet another Chinese Car Co has declined the offer.
