This is a Communications Component Corp. Transmitter, Emergency Locator TR 70-17. I was not able to test the unit and im not sure if it is missing any pieces so i am selling it as is. It has some cosmetic wear from use and storage but still seems in good shape. There are operating instructions on the top of the unit and a side sticker that reads; Transmitter, Emergency Locator, Model Number CIR-10, Serial no: 11964, Type: ELT (AF), FCC No: ET 60-10, Communications Components Corporation, Costa Mesa, California. On the other side it has a sticker that reads Transmitter TR-70-17. Please see pictures for more details of the condition of the unit. If you have any questions please feel free to ask. Lord Charles March takes the 2013 Aston Martin Vanquish up the Goodwood Hillcimb (video)
Sat, 06 Apr 2013Lord Charles March – he of the Goodwood Festival of Speed – takes the 2013 Aston Martin Vanquish up the Goodwood hillclimb. The Hillclimb is a 1.16 mile road course, starting at the bottom corner of the Goodwood Estate where you take off on a tree-lined avenue before sweeping right and up past the main house before you enter a steep and narrow estate road, past unforgiving flint walls and woodland, before ending up by Goodwood’s racecourse at the top of the South Downs. It’s a thrilling run in almost any car (yes, we’ve been privileged to do it more than once) and now, with the ‘Moving Motor Show’ part of the Goodwood Festival of Speed, many more are getting the chance to try the hillclimb in car makers’ latest offerings - admittedly not usually at full tilt.

Update: Porsche has now caught up with the first photos arriving and we have official details of what the new 911 GT3 has to offer. A rise in weight from the last GT3 sees the new GT3 weighing in at 1430kg, but power is up to 468bhp and 324lb/ft of torque from a tweaked version of the 3.8 litre flat 6 which now revs to 9000rpm with power going to the back wheels through the auto ‘box.

But BMW are planning to turn that on its head. BMW’s China CEO has revealed that before the end of 2011 we’ll see Brilliance-BMW 5-Series cars being exported to neighbouring Asian countries, as BMW seeks to cash in on its low cost, low duty China manufacturing facility.
