Engine was planned to be removed at annual so owner found another core and had it overhauled in advance. During annual this engine performed fine and had no issues, but was removed as planned. I have videos of the engine in operation at flight levels showing EGT/CHT on all 6 cylinders, fuel flow, oil pressure, oil temp, and MAP/RPM. If you have a high time engine, you can get this core, overhaul it, and then swap it at your convenience instead of having your airplane down while you wait 2-3 months to have your engine sent out for overhaul. |

We’ve also seen the McLarenj P1 on the move in the recent Top Gear with Jeremy scaring himself witless in Belgium as his brain came to terms with the awesome 903bhp at the P1′s disposal on a less than forgiving Spa circuit in damp conditions. But what we have here – in case you’ve not seen it elsewhere – is a video review of the McLaren P1 from Drive’s Chris Harris, and it does the best job we’ve seen of explaining just why the P1 is so special and why it’s “…a whole new thing”.
