Jaguar to handbuild new £1m E-type Lightweights (2014) first pictures

A special team of craftsmen will handbuild six cars, all picture-perfect reproductions of the legendary Lightweight E-types from 1963-64. Škoda design chief Jozef Kabaň and his team completely redesigned the outgoing second-generation model and it has grown in length and width by 90 mm and 45 mm respectively. The wheelbase has also grown by 108mm, making more room for the occupants inside.

In the late 1970s, the Pontiac Firebird Type K (Kammback) was explored as a way to inject some life into the aging F-body lineup. After a concept build by Pontiac Motor Division, vice president of design Bill Mitchell had two 1977 models constructed in Italy by famed Ferrari designer Sergio Pininfarina.
