Lexus GS-F coming. Says Lexus. Apparently
Sun, 05 Dec 2010Lexus GS from SEMA. The Lexus GS-F won't be so OTT You’ll forgive us for the less than assertive headline, we hope. Because we’ve been hearing from lots of places – our sources and the sources of others – that Lexus are going to endow its GS with a serious amount of V8 grunt (actually, the last report we ran was that Lexus were giving the GS a V10) to take on the uber-exec expresses from the Germans (and the XFR) and create a Lexus GS-F.
Mercedes CLA employs a cat in new advert to demonstrate its aerodynamic shape (video)
Mon, 14 Apr 2014It’s the Mercedes CLA sliding cat advert We’re not entirely sure that Mercedes has chosen to focus attention on a cat in a new advert for the CLA to dig at Jaguar’s mickey-take of its chicken advert for Magic Body Control, but it’s definitely the cat that’s front and centre, regardless of the motivation. With the new Mercedes CLA boasting exceptional aerodynamic credentials, Mercedes has employed a stunt cat to slide up and over the CLA to demonstrate just how slippery their new compact saloon is. Already shown on TV in the UK at the weekend (during the new series of Britain’s Got Talent), the moggie in question – William, apparently – glides effortlessly over the CLA’s slippery shape to a soundtrack playing Rossini’s Duetto buffo di due gatti (which you may not think you know, but you do).
Jaguar F-Type caught in Colorado ahead of Paris motor show debut
Wed, 29 Aug 2012Sharp-eyed Autoweek reader Robert Burkhardt has sent us a photo of what appears to be a camouflaged Jaguar F-Type caught driving in the mountains near Denver. Jaguar hasn't exactly been shy about showing off the F-Type in recent months. To generate buzz about the upcoming two-seater, the company has released teaser shots of a different camouflage-wrapped F-Type plastered with prominent “Search F-Type” stickers.
