Icon Helios: the Tesla Model S streamliner inspired by DC-1s

Better known for modifying Land Rovers and Jeeps, Icon CEO and lead designer Jonathan Ward has now turned his hand to a more futuristic idea - making electric cars truly desirable. The Icon Helios is the result.

Saab to get BMW turbocharged engines in 2012

Saab Automobile and BMW AG announced an agreement Wednesday that will supply engines for Saab's next-generation 9-3. Under the agreement, BMW will provide Saab with four-cylinder 1.6-liter turbocharged gasoline engines starting in 2012. The engines will be adapted to meet Saab's specific requirements.

We had our doubts about that, but it does seem clear that Jaguar are not going to let the C-X75 just disappear in to oblivion. For reasons probably known only to Jaguar, they’ve suddenly decided to release a new set of photos (above) of the very good looking C-X75 in a fetching shade of blue – a better look than the pale metallic paint job on all the photos we’ve seen so far – despite the project being shelved.
