Here is a rare item. It is a new GM in the box choke thermostat spring. The part # is 3972142 which replaced part# 3973497. This part mounts to the top of the intake manifold exhaust crossover passage to open the carburetor choke valve. This is correct for 1970 Corvette 350 engines and also big block engines, except the special high performance engine. I believe this was also was used on other 1970 chevy applications such as Chevelles, Camaros, Caprice, and probably trucks. It might have been used in other years as well. ‘Nemesis’ breaks UK electric car speed record

We’re not entirely sure how relevant a new UK speed record for an electric car is, but let’s be parochial and report it anyway. The ‘Nemesis’ is an electric car built round a second hand Lotus Exige, bought off eBay, by a team of engineers in a shed in Norfolk and driven by an Estate Agent from Gloucestershire.
Volkswagen Passat TDI Clean Diesel sets fuel economy record
Mon, 08 Jul 2013Volkswagen set a new Guinness World Record last week for lowest fuel consumption during an 8,122-mile tour of the lower 48 states in a Volkswagen Passat TDI Clean Diesel, achieving 77.99 mpg during the trip. This new record bested the previous one by about 10 mpg. During this record-setting trip the Passat TDI Clean Diesel also beat the hybrid record by more than 13 miles per gallon.
