For sale is one used removable rear window. Works for Corvettes 1968-1972 w/ Removable Rear Window - The glass is not original, and was replaced at some point. There are no marking on the glass indicating a manufacturer or date.
- The glass has a dark bronze-colored tint (not straight black or violet colored).
- The frame still has the lower guide wedges still attached.
- The glass has some scratches that catch the fingernail (see pics).
- It has no date code on it or any factory stampings.
- There is some haziness and stains on it.
- The frame has some haziness that can be cleaned out with fine steel wool.
- It also has spots of oxidation and scratches.
- Again, both alignment wedges are still firmly attached.

Car door panels and fenders are generally made of steel, sometimes of aluminum or plastic composites, and you can't see through them. Car windows, on the other hand, are made of a transparent sandwich of glass and plastic - and you can see through them. But in the future there will be variable degrees of transparency: translucent elements where once there were none, traditional window areas that will have opaque elements and graduated progressions from opaque to see-through.

China's Geely is to enter the UK car market in 2012
Chinese car maker Geely is to start selling cars in the UK in 2012, with Manganese Bronze (London Black Cabs) handling distribution. We reported recently that the Geely Emgrand EC7 and the MG6 – both made in China – has achieved a four star rating in the latest round of Euro NCAP safety test. And now Geely has revealed it’s to enter the UK car market in 2012.

Tesla Model S with M5 Performance
Our inherent scepticism about Elon Musk’s claims for the Tesla Model S refuses to go away, but Tesla are convinced they can deliver the Model S with a 300-mile range, great looks, great performance and top-end tecchy goodness at a sub-$70k price tag. And now, it seems, there is going to be a Tesla Model S with performance to rival the BMW M5. At an event yesterday in California, Elon Musk revealed that at launch – the Model S is expected to be hit the road in 2012 with UK cars arriving in 2013 – the Model S will in fact have four variants on offer.
