For sale is one used pair of LH & RH 2-1/2" half shaft with flange. P/N 3872908 Shaft, 3843018 Flange Correct for Corvettes 1963-1974 All - The half shafts' outside diameter measures approximately 2-1/2".
- The later style half shafts were enlarged to 3".
- The half shafts' ends have the 3707775 casting numbers on them.
- The pair was thoroughly degreased and pressure washed.
- The cleaning process has revealed some pitting and surface rust.
- There are a few small dents on the shafts (see pics).
- There are also some surface scratches.
- The U-joints are still attached but should be replaced.
- The flanges are also attached and have the matching surface rust and wear marks.
- The mount holes are in good condition.
This is a fairly good original pair of half shaft assemblies for your Corvette, please look at the pictures. If you have any questions, please contact us. Chris Bangle is to consult with Changan Automobile to help develop its design strategy and processes in his first official automotive project since leaving BMW in 2009. Bangle – through his company Chris Bangle Associates (CBA) – will work with Changan's team in its European design center in Turin, Italy, reporting to design director Chen Zheng. And while his role will be linked to the brand's Chinese products, his focus will be on the design team's methodologies and philosophy; its management and its process of critique, rather than the hands-on design of its products.

It sounded like a plan to put it in to production – even if it would probably need twin turbos to make it nicely wieldy on the road – and that’s exactly what Volvo and Polestar have done. The Volvo S60 Polestar has gone in to limited production, initially for the Australian market, but instead of the mighty 508bhp of the concept it has to make do with a more pedestrian 350bhp, little more than the V60 we reviewed last year with the Polestar upgrade. But the extra power is enough to get the production S60 Polestar to 62mph in 4.9 seconds and, thanks to tweaks to the suspension, brakes and aerodynamics, the S60 Polestar looks like it will be able to handle the power quite well.

The Mercedes ConceptFascination - Could make it in to production as an E-Class Coupe Estate
Car makers are searching for every niche they can fill with their cars, particularly at the premium end. Audi and Mercedes are big players (we still think the Mercedes R-Class a niche too far), and BMW play the game too, with cars like the BMW X6M and the new BMW 5 Series GT. If the Mercedes E Class Coupe Estate does go in to production it will bring to five the number of models based on the same Class – the saloon, the coupe, the cabriolet and the estate plus this new Coupe Estate.
