Here's a set of original pinch welts as installed on the front seat adjusting bars of '63 Corvettes. The '63 seat rails were unique having adjustments in the front and rear to raise/lower/tilt the seat with respect to the tracks. Factory original cars had these pinch welt segments installed over the front seat height adjuster links for visual consmetics. Often these came loose and were discarded. Here's your chance to improve your restoration with a fresh set of four to handle both seats. Judging literature has changed over time regarding the color used for pinch welt material and these are black. These are real not reproduction parts. The 2014 European Supercar Gathering took place on March 14 in Qatar and showcased some of the finest specimens from an array of brands. Naming all the cars worth naming would make us winded, but here is just a taste of what was spotted in the clip.
BMW i8 Concept Spyder
Mon, 02 Apr 2012BMW has released images and information about its i8 Concept Spyder, which follows on from the i3 and i8 concepts. This open-top two-seater car features upwards-swiveling doors that pivot forwards around the A-pillars, a transparent glass panel at the rear and is based around the LifeDrive architecture, which fusing independent units together using a lightweight modular construction. A two-section roof is planned for less favorable conditions.
Nissan confirms IDx for production
Fri, 17 Jan 2014Nissan will produce at least one of the IDx concepts shown at the Detroit auto show. Vice president Andy Palmer said at the show, “Don’t say that we won’t do both, but we will definitely do one of them.” That statement confused us a bit, especially with the positioning of Nismo as upgraded versions of the company’s normal cars. Surely, the Freeflow could be repainted and improved into a Nismo version.
