Each link is hallmarked with a traceability code for conformance. The links are made in the Metric specification style of 6mm (for the link size). The Imperial equivalent is generally considered to be 1/4". This is a forged link, which for load bearing applications is better than a cast shackle. Rated for overhead lifting. Each link is supplied with the central locking spring. Grade 60 Cromox components are manufactured by KETTEN WALDER in Germany using the highest quality of stainless steel to achieve market leader quality products. All components are manufactured on state of the art modern machinery. These products are rigorously tested in house and form part of the Cromox chain sling system. The Cromox range of products use the highest levels of design, materials and manufacturing processes to produce the best performing products for use in the harshest environments. Due to the high quality, purity and narrow tolerances of alloying elements in Cromox steel, we are able to produce durable, heavy duty stainless steel products with increased corrosion and crack resistance. The high concentrations of chromium ensures a strong and passive layer of chromium oxide for protection. A precise amount of Nickel creates a shiny surface and other alloys like molybdenum allow for increased Working Load Limit (WLL) and a higher breaking load. |

2013 Audi RS6 Avant: The Video
Sun, 16 Dec 2012With the new Audi RS6 Avant revealed, Audi has delivered the first video of the new V8 RS6 in action ahead of a public debut. In fact, for many with deep pockets and petrol running through their veins, the RS6 Avant is the ultimate ‘Q’ car; take of the RS badges and no one would know the quietly spoken Audi estate was carrying a very big stick indeed for when it was needed. Mind you, the RS6 Avant only speaks quietly when you’re gentle – give your right foot free reign and it can bellow like a supercar – and even with a V8 instead of a V10, the 2013 Audi RS6 Avant can pull the same trick.
2013 Ford Mondeo – first photo, and it’s not the 2013 Fusion
Tue, 10 Jan 2012First photo of the 2013 Ford Mondeo The North American Ford Fusion has been revealed at Detroit, but we have the first photo of its European cousin – the 2013 Ford Mondeo. We’ve covered the reveal of the 2013 Ford Fusion from the Detroit Auto Show and pointed out that, to all intents and purposes, the Fusion North America gets is pretty much the same car we’ll see as the 2013 Ford Mondeo. But just so there’s no confusion, we’ve got the first photos of the 2013 Mondeo in pre-production guise, just so you can see how similar the Mondeo will be to the Fusion.
Infiniti JX crossover revealed at Pebble Beach
Thu, 18 Aug 2011After a month of teasers and tidbits, the Infiniti JX Concept was finally revealed in its entirety on Thursday in California, ahead of the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance. The seven-passenger, three-row crossover concept is expected to appear largely intact as the production 2012 Infiniti JX next spring. Styling cues were obviously borrowed from the Essence concept, but the JX also seems to have a bit of Volvo XC90 in the greenhouse and even a touch of Mitsubishi Lancer in the front grille aperture.
