Cruise Missile Immersion Thermocouple TL2862-3-1 for Williams F112 Engine Tester
This is a Brand new Cruise Missile Immersion Thermocouple # TL2862-3-1 for Williams F112 Engine Tester.
This is a rather rare and expensive military part that had been placed in our lap; a thermocouple that checks for fuel and oxygen temperatures in one of the more rare and more capable US cruise missile turbofan engines, the Williams F112-WR-100. From the connector, it appears to be a K-type. It's constructed of a very rigid alloy of some sort, and has two additional tubes of varying diameters emanating from it, to provide a function or measurement of unknown value.
In any case, the thermocouple may actually be classified; we don't know and have no intention to investigate, although there were no such controlling decals or identifiers on the packaging when we received it.
