This packaged service includes removing the valves, soda blasting the carbon from the dome and ports, total inspection, seats cut with a multi angle seat profile and then professionally assembled and vacuum tested. Stem heights and spring pressure is check and corrected if needed. We only cut seats to new valves. You can send yours or we can supply. All machining is performed on our race developed Rottler SG7 seat and guide machine with pilots and tooling designed for the motocross type heads. Old School hand grinding and Neway hand cutting processes do not work on these new MX style heads due to the small diameter stems and the large distance to the seat from the guide. Your valve seats wear almost as fast as the valves on these high-rev engines. Worn seats are rounded convex and when the flat surface of a new valve face creates a very small contact patch creating less heat transfer and increased wear along with low compression, low HP, backfiring, tuning and hard starting situations. Most mechanics just install new valves and call it good because they don't have the high dollar machining equipment needed on these new style heads. Audi RS5 TDI Concept gets electric turbo and 380bhp
Wed, 28 May 2014The Audi RS5 TDI Concept (pictured) gets an electric turbo It’s two years since Audi revealed it was working on an electric turbo to be used in a twin-turbo setup, with the electric turbo able to offer boost pressure from much lower down the rev range than a normal turbo. That has turned in to the Audi RS5 TDI Concept, where Audi has replaced the normal RS5‘s V8 with a 3.0 litre TDI engine with a small electric turbo for low rev work and a bigger turbo to do the higher rev stuff. The electric turbo works from the off to provide maximum torque of 553lb/ft from just 1250rpm, before the bigger normal turbo takes over at 3,000rpm to continue the boost.

Originally the brainchild of Ferdinand Piech, the VW L1 was the 2002 vision for a green car that supped just one litre of fuel per 100 kilometres. Now the idea is back for 2011, and it's called the XL1.
