The Maff Muron Porsche Cayenne - a step too far! Gemballa do extreme versions of the Porsche Cayenne, like the Gemballa Tornado 750 GTS, which looks like a four-wheeled Darth Vader. But at least I sort of see the point of its extremes.

It may be leaden with PR-talk but this short presentation by Yasushi Nakamuta, Mazda's director of advanced design studio at the press unveiling of the new Mazda 3 in Melbourne is still worth a couple of minutes of your time. But while the 3 is undeniably attractive we can't help but feel that the 'unique' design process Nakamuta describes (which appears wholly conventional to us) has resulted in little more than a thoroughly normal product. Ferrari is used to building high-speed sports cars, but now it's undertaken a far more difficult design study: building the Ferrari sleigh for Father Christmas. Penned by the design team in Maranello led by Flavio Manzoni, the Ferrari supercar sleigh is said to use many of the design principles which underpin its roadgoing supercars such as the 458 Italia and California. It’s a lightweight sledge with the iconic Prancing Horse depicted on its flanks and racing numerals on the door panels.
