VW boss Bernhard quits

By Tim Pollard Motor Industry 12 January 2007 09:57 Volkswagen boss Wolfgang Bernhard has quit the company as part of a shake-up at Europe's biggest car maker. The news comes as little surprise after months of uncertainty and change at the top of VW. Bernhard built a reputation as an abrasive operator in his short stint as CEO of the Wolfsburg company and had numerous confrontations with unions as he pushed through more modern working practices.

Mercedes-Benz C-Class previewed in new video, images [w/Video]

Mercedes-Benz has given us the first look at its next-generation C-Class, the W205, in a new video and interior photos. The images show the new model shares many design cues with the CLA-Class, such as the center stack, IP and steering wheel, while design cues from the S-Class include the COMAND system's control with added touchpad. The interior also features a heads-up display and an HVAC system called Air Balance.
