Volvo, Geely working on shared architecture

Geely and its Volvo ward are working at developing a new compact car architecture that will be shared by both companies. For Volvo, this means a smaller luxury car, possibly a few. The platform will be modular, as is practically required in this day and age, ready to underpin different body styles or—if need be—an entirely new lineup.

Kamui Kobayashi canes the Caterham 620 R

After spending a year in the FIA World Endurance Championship, Japanese driver Kamui Kobayashi has returned to Formula One, nabbing a seat with Caterham. And while Sebastian Vettel is stuck hawking SUVs for Infiniti, part of Kobayashi's duties include flogging the manufacturer's latest evolution of Colin Chapman's bare-bodkin brainchild, the Seven 620R at Silverstone. Range Rover Evoque launches in Beijing Land Rover may have bit of a shortage of parts for the new Range Rover Evoque, which is reportedly causing some delays for UK Evoque deliveries, but they’re still pushing on with launching the Evoque across the world. And this week it’s China, with the tag line ‘Hello Beijing’ attached to the launch. Last week Land Rover were out in India to launch the Evoque, with the Indian market getting the full range of Evoque models – that’s coupe and five-door with a choice of TD4 and SD4 diesels and the Si4 Ecoboost petrol.
