Sin Cars R2 (2014): a new Anglo-German supercar

By Jonny Edge 25 June 2014 14:34 A powerful new supercar is primed to burst onto the scene, going by name of the Sin Cars R2 - and this is the first snapshot of it. Boasting over 500bhp and weighing just 1100kg, the Sin Cars R2 was born from a collaboration between British parts supplier ProFormance Metals and German-based Sin Cars GmbH. A veil of secrecy currently surrounds the R2, so what we know is limited.

Quite a few older European cars are purchased in rust-free parts of the United States and then shipped back to the home continent, and this process tends to intensify when the Euro gets stronger versus the dollar. While that's going on, crews of European gearheads also roam the wrecking yards of the Southwest, filling shipping containers with parts to ship back home; I know of a trio of Swedes who come to Colorado every year and ship home tons of parts, but they've got nothing on this pair of Germans. These gentlemen fly to the United States four times each year, spending two or three weeks each trip, and send home cars and shipping containers packed with parts, all as part of a scheme to open up a car collection showcasing "cars from the road." They were kind enough to send me a bunch of photos of their most recent trip, so let's see what their enviable lifestyle looks like.

The new Peugeot 108 (pictured) on sale July 2014 The Peugeot take on the Toyota Aygo and Citroen C1 – the new Peugeot 108 – is going on sale in July in the UK and will cost from £8,245 for the 1.0-litre three-door in Access trim, topping out at £12,245 for the 1.2-litre Allure five-door. Not only is there a choice of three-door and five-door 108s, there’s also a choice of two engines -a  68bhp 1.0-litre 3-cylinder and the new 1.2-litre PureTech VTi – and four trim levels - Access, Active, Allure and Feline  - although you’ll have to settle for Active or Allure if you want the Top! Cabrio.
