Toyota aims for a comeback, shuffles execs
Wed, 09 Mar 2011Toyota, unveiling a new business plan to double operating profit by 2015, will remove its head of North America from a downsized board and promote Canada chief Ray Tanguay to be its highest non-Japanese executive. Yoshi Inaba, 65, continues to lead Toyota North America and Toyota Motor Sales U.S.A. while becoming one of 18 directors to lose board seats.
Citroen C4 (2011): first official pictures
Tue, 01 Jun 2010This is the new Citroen C4, the French car company's latest rival for the ever-present VW Golf, Vauxhall Astra and forthcoming Mk3 Ford Focus. Citroen hopes to challenge the trio with a mix of class-leading interior space and a gadget-laden cabin, and the new C4 will be unveiled at the Paris motor show this September, before UK sales start in early 2011. Yup, and there’s some Megane Coupe in there too.
U.S. vehicle sales rise 2 percent in April
Tue, 01 May 2012UPDATED: U.S. light vehicle sales rose 2 percent in April to 1.2 million units, slightly above analysts' expectations, as consumers continued to snap up new cars and other fuel-efficient models at a faster clip than trucks and SUVs. In another sign the U.S.
