Can Also Read The Siren Output Of Most DEI Systems And Will Follow The Silent Mode Protocol.

Can Also Be Used To Generate The Warn Away Message Only.

Universal Design, Will Work With Most Security Systems.

When used with a Viper Security System the 516U will give the Viper warn away message "STAND BACK THIS VEHICLE IS PROTECTED BY VIPER" instead of a warn away chirp. Or the DEI 516U can produce a generic warn away message in either Spanish or English when used with any other alarm system. If used with the optional DEI 508D Dual Zone Motion Sensor (must be purchased separately) it can give a warning when someone gets too close to the vehicle. Other messages include "ARMED", "DISARMED" and much more.

MERCEDES trialled a device aimed at amplifying and improving the much-maligned sound made by the 2014 marque Formula One cars on the second day of testing in Barcelona. With new V6 engines forming part of an overhaul in F1 regulations, widespread criticism of the dulcet tones has continued from the opening race of the season in Australia. With F1 chief Bernie Ecclestone amongst those to question the enjoyment of listening to the new engines, the teams decided to look into ways of making it a more pleasurable experience.
