You are looking at a BRAND NEW DEI 556UW Universal Remote Start Interface Module.

How does this system work?

Use this module when installing remote start products in vehicles equipped with and RF(radio frequency) based immobilizer system.

This system uses a small chip imbedded in the ignition key to transmit a low powered RF signal.

This signal is picked up through a antenna around the ignition switch then is sent to the immobilizers transceiver.

Once the correct signal is received, the immobilizer will enable the ignition and/or fuel systems.

If there is an attempt to start the vehicle with out the valid signal sent to the transceiver, the ignition is disabled.

The immobilizer system will then render the remote start useless.

The 556UW bypasses the immobilizer system only while the remote start is in use, maintaining the factory system's integrity.

Working from the little Bertone studio in Turin, it seems Marcello Gandini didn't get the memo and carried on drawing futuristic wedgey supercars. Peugeot 308 is European Car of the Year The Geneva Motor Show also means the announcement of the European Car of the Year for 2014, and the gong for this year has gone to the new Peugeot 308. It took a jury of 58 journalists from 22 European countries to decide the new 308 offers such an appealing package it is a more impressive car than any of the seven finalists left in its wake. It’s a very mainstream choice from the jury, some would say a surprise too, and will no doubt please Peugeot to have their fourth COTY title after the 307 (2002), 405 (1988) and 504 (1969) were previous winners.
