DEIF Rudder Angle Indicator.
Unit DOES NOT WORK, For parts only. Face/Dial is in excellent condition and what is most useful on this unit.  The board may work, I don't recall. I just know the angle indicator has broken off.  Do not know the year of this unit, but expect around 1985. Would be perfect to replace the old damaged face/dial of a working unit. Box surround also is in good condition, but the exterior facing is chipping away.
Happy to send more pictures.  Dimensions of unit are:
5 3/8 (13.5cm) wide, 5 3/8 (13.5 cm) tall,  (not including face plate)
1 15/16th (5cm) thick (including face plate)
This is a none returnable sale.  Please note, while the listing indecates no International shipping, I will  ship internationally,  contact me for price to ship out of country.

Alfa Romeo going to the USA

Fri, 26 Jun 2009

Alfa Romeo is going back to the US for the first time in almost 20 years We already know that the only Fiat making its way to the US is the Fiat 500, but it now looks as if a big chunk of the Alfa Romeo range will make the journey too. Sergio Marchionne, Fiat’s boss and the new head of Chrysler, has been working on rationalising Chrysler’s management and working out the best way forward. As mentioned, only the Fiat 500 will be offered for sale in America (and probably built in Mexico), with Fiat platforms being used to build new Chryslers that will be designed and built in the States.

Porsche Boxster E (2011): prototype Boxster EV

Thu, 24 Feb 2011

Porsche recently rolled out the first of three Boxster E electric vehicles, to take part in the 'Electromobility Region Stuttgart' local government initiative in Germany. The Boxster E is powered by two electric motors, capable of a peak power output of 180kW. Energy is stored in a 29kWh battery pack.  Not with the Boxster E. Three electric Boxsters are being built as part of a programme sponsored by the Baden-Wurttemberg state government (Porsche's home state in Germany) and WRS, the Stuttgart Region Economic Development Corporation.  Porsche's hometown of Stuttgart is one of eight model regions participating in a federal pilot programme sponsored by the Minitsry of Transport, Building and Urban Affairs to develop EVs and their supporting infrastructure.  The three Boxster E prototypes will take part in the programme, acting as mobile laboratories for testing EV usage and planning for EVs in urban infrastructure.  CAR's view? We reckon this electric Boxster E is much cooler than your usual EV council van.

VW Golf GTD (2009) first pictures

Fri, 27 Mar 2009

By Chris Chilton First Official Pictures 27 March 2009 12:30 Volkswagen UK hasn’t even delivered its first new Golf GTi but is already showing us this: the GTD, its diesel alter ego. Powered by a 168bhp version of VW’s ubiquitous common rail 2.0-litre turbodiesel four it sprints to 62mph in just 8.1sec compared with 7.1sec for the 207bhp petrol GTi and its 136mph top speed falls 12mph short. But with 256lb ft of torque (the GTi makes do with 207lb ft) on hand, the diesel should have the upper hand in mid-range performance.
