I personally pulled this generator off a 1961 Corvair with a bad engine. It looks functional and turns freely I have no reason to believe that it is not 100% functional but I cannot guarantee that the shop wants $20 test this for me. Look at the pictures and ask questions I would be willing to test this myself if you contact me and tell me how to do it.
