Ford KA sells 500,000 in the UK

Ford has racked up total sales of 500,000 KAs in the UK And despite a few reservations when we did our Ford KA Review a couple of months ago, it looks set to continue racking up the sales with the new KA, which has already racked up 11,000 sales in the UK since it was introduced. To be honest, our only real reservations on the new KA were a couple of subjective styling issues and the somewhat hard seats. But it is undoubtedly a funky and capable little car that will serve Ford well.

Peugeot 3008 Hybrid4 (2010) first details

Peugeot has released details of its new 3008 Hybrid4, the world's first hybrid production car with a diesel engine under the bonnet. So far all car makers dabbling in hybrid technology have plumped for petrol engines, primarily on the grounds of cost and the fact that countries such as the US, Japan and many emerging markets still prefer unleaded to derv.We saw the concept 3008 Hybrid4 in 2009 at the Frankfurt motor show, and now Pug has turned it into reality. The Hybrid4 employs PSA's 2.0-litre oil-burner allied to an electric motor, and offers claimed fuel economy of 74mpg and CO2 emissions of 99g/km, slipping – just – under the 100g/km barrier.

Bahrain F1 win for Button & Brawn GP

Button wins for Brawn GP in Bahrain - the third win of the F1 season for Button/Brawn GP [ad#ad-1] It looked after practice and qualifying that Brawn’s measure had been acquired; at least by Toyota and  Red Bull. After all, the best Brawn could manage was fourth on the grid with Button, and a front row lock-out by Toyota, and Vettel’s third on the grid, seemed to strike a note of reality for this years F1 season.
