Chrysler reveals new 2014 Jeep Cherokee

Chrysler Group revealed photographs and the name of its replacement for the Jeep Liberty on Friday after unofficial photographs of the 2014 Jeep Cherokee showed up earlier in the day. The automaker had hoped to keep the mid-size SUV -- and its name -- secret until a planned reveal at the New York auto show in late March. However, photos of several 2014 Cherokees taken during pre-production at Chrysler's Toledo North Assembly plant were unveiled Friday morning on the site Jalopnik.com.

As yesterday’s photos showed, BMW has updated the X6 with styling cues borrowed from the new X5 (and, to a degree, from the new X4, the X6′s little brother) with a new treatment for the front and back ends that make the new X6 look less slab-ended than the current model. That means new contours for the front bumper with larger air intakes, a matt aluminium kidney grill and a rear apron with diffuser, stainless steel exhausts with black chrome tail pipes, 20″ alloys and Ferric Grey mirrors on the X6 M50d.

Jaguar puts C-X75 supercar on ice

Jaguar has reversed its plan to sell the C-X75 hybrid supercar, fearing the project could be a commercial failure unable to recoup its investment. ‘After a thorough reassessment of the market conditions, the company’s view is that the global economic landscape does not currently support the introduction of a supercar such as C-X75,’ said Adrian Hallmark, Jaguar global brand director.
