Cloud rises over diesel plan for Nissan Maxima
Wed, 18 Mar 2009Nissan North America may postpone a V6 diesel engine planned for the Maxima sedan in 2010. Since the company revealed its Maxima diesel plan two years ago, gasoline prices have fallen dramatically, auto sales have collapsed and Nissan has begun reviewing product plans as it scrambles to restore profitability. "We haven't reached a decision on the diesel yet, but we have to consider where we want to put our capital investments," says Larry Dominique, North American vice president for product planning.

Submissions for the 2009 program will be accepted through April 16, 2008. The winning designs will be evaluated for their uniqueness, emotional appeal, design courage and technical execution by a jury of automotive design professionals and receive prominent display in the MCD exhibit at the 2009 North American International Auto Show. Richard Petty honored in North Carolina with customized Dodge Challenger
Fri, 03 Jun 2011NASCAR legend and team owner Richard Petty took a break from his busy schedule on May 28 to host his inaugural Spring Fling Car Show at Petty's Garage in Level Cross, N.C., and to accept delivery of the Legacy Dodge Challenger. The car was created to pay tribute to the famous driver and promote vehicle-lift safety. The event was sponsored by the Automotive Lift Institute.
