Hello and Thanks for checking out my auction

UP FOR GRABS IS A SET OF 4 (FOUR) RIMS AND TIRES COMPLETE READY TO MOUNT AND HAVE BEEN IN STORAGE FOR ABOUT 5 YEARS.
THESE WERE TAKEN OFF A 2006 DODGE DURANGO 38,000 MILES ON IT BEFORE THEY WERE SWITCHED TO 20" RIMS AND HAVE BEEN
STORED SINCE

THE GOOD NEWS - RIMS OVERALL ARE IN GREAT SHAPE AND SPIN TRUE. TIRES HAVE ABOUT 50% TREAD LEFT CHECK THE PICTURE AND HAVE NO MAJOR FLAWS IN THE RUBBER OVERALL. YOU ARE LOOKING AT 17" STOCK DODGE RIMS WITH A 5 HOLE PATTERN AND WRAPPED WITH STOCK GOODYEAR WRANGLER SR-A HIGH PERFORMANCE ALL SEASON TIRES 245 /70R / 17

THE BAD NEWS - THEY NEED TO BE SAND BLASTED AS CHRYSLER RIMS ARE NOTORIOUS FOR THEIR CLEAR COAT CRACKING AND PEALING!!!!!!!
AFTER BEING PUT IN STORAGE, I FOUND THIS OUT THE HARD WAY. A FEW OF MY FRIENDS ARE PROFESSIONAL RIM REPAIR GUYS AND SAID THIS IS COMMON ON STORED RIMS BUT NOT A MAJOR DEAL AS THEY NEED TO BE SAND BLASTED AND CLEAR COATED. PLEASE CHECK THE PICTURES AS I TRIED TO SHOW AS MUCH DETAIL AS POSSIBLE. THE INSIDE OF THE RIMS HAVE SIMILAR CLEAR COAT ISSUES AS WELL. YOU WILL NOTICE THAT ONCE RIM HAS SOME CURB BIT ON IT AND I DETAILED THAT IN ONE OF THE PHOTOS AS WELL

PLEASE EMAIL FOR ANY QUESTIONS AND CONCERNS

LOCAL PICK UP IS MORE THAN WELCOME. THESE ARE LOCATED IN SAYLORSBURG PENNSYLVANIA

SHIPPING WILL BE DETERMINED BY BUYERS LOCATION AND HOW FAST THEY WANT IT TO BE DELIVERED. UPS OR FED EX WILL BE THE CHEAPEST AND BEST WAY TO TRACK ITEMS. PLEASE ALSO NOTE THAT SHIPPING PRICE IS FOR 1 (ONE) RIM AND WILL BE MULTIPLIED BY 4 (FOUR) AS EACH RIM WILL BE SHIPPED IN A BOX SEPARATE.

Toyota ME.WE Concept: It’s an egalitarian EV

Wed, 24 Apr 2013

Based on the electric running gear of the Toyota i-Road we saw at Geneva (but with a full set of wheels) Toyota and Massaud have created an urban vehicle that takes transport back to the basics; a 2CV for the 21st century, perhaps, or a grown up home-made kart seems to be where the ME.WE is at. The construction of the ME.WE comprises a tubular aluminium chassis and a pile of interchangeable polypropylene panels that can change the function of the ME.We from city car to convertible to pickup to 4×4 (thanks to electric motors on both axles) and is, by any definition, transport and not a car you’d have to make a statement. Inside is just as basic with a single dial for the instruments, flat surfaces made from bamboo (designers love a bit of bamboo), batteries for the electric motors under the floor and you have to store any luggage on the roof under a weatherproof cover.

Porsche Macan production starts in December

Mon, 22 Jul 2013

The Porsche Macan (pictured) starts production in December with a bolder look It does seem that the baby Cayenne – the new, Audi Q5 based Porsche Macan – has been on its way for a while, but Porsche has now confirmed production will start in December, with first Macans hitting Porsche showrooms in early 2014. But despite the Macan having been spied many times, seemingly almost undisguised, we really don’t know what it will look like. That’s because Porsche’s man in charge of the design of the Macan - Michael Mauer – has admitted that Porsche has had to go back to the drawing board with the Macan to try and address its design in light of the huge success of the Range Rover Evoque.

GM considers CVTs for small cars

Mon, 29 Nov 2010

General Motors Co., aiming to give its small cars a sales edge, may introduce continuously variable transmissions to deliver better fuel economy, executives say. GM doesn't use CVTs now. But they could be used on models such as the Chevrolet Spark, Aveo and Cruze in the next three years, said Mike Arcamone, CEO of GM Daewoo Auto & Technology.
