This is for cylinder head work on your 5.9 or 6.7 cummins head you send us. We do 12v & 24v. The head will be cleaned inspected and if any parts need replaced we will tell you. Then the head will get extensive porting on the intake and exhaust, the exhaust will get polished also this isnt just a sanding roll clean up we remove metal and we remove it at the proper places to improve the flow, swirl, and keep velocity of the air up, we usually have 30-50 hrs in building a head. The head porting basically increases the airflow of the cylinder head so your engine can produce more power. If you would like any oversized valves, upgraded valve springs, push rods, we have many options to give you what you want. Also offer other machine work like surfacing , O ringing, maching the intake off so the head can then be fully ported, spring seat maching for custom valve springs, also block work can be done. Pforzheim University Winter Degree Show 2009
Thu, 12 Mar 2009Transportation Design students at Germany's Pforzheim University displayed their work in the school's summer degree show last month, one of two graduation shows held every year by the renowned college. The exhibition included work from graduating Diploma and Masters students, first- and second-semester Masters students, as well as exterior and interior projects by the fifth- and seventh-semester BA students. The newly introduced Bachelor course covers the Transportation Design program in seven semesters (replacing the eight-semester Diploma course) with students embarking on specialized transportation projects in their second semester.

Battery breakthrough set to accelerate electric-car development
Thu, 12 Mar 2009A team of scientists working at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology are claiming a significant breakthrough in recharging times for lithium-ion batteries. According to findings published in the scientific journal Nature, MIT researchers Byoungwoo Kang and Gerbrand Ceder have unlocked the potential of lithium-ion batteries by patenting a unique process which is claimed to allow a typical laptop power pack to be fully recharged in less than a minute--an improvement in recharging performance of roughly 90 percent over existing lithium-ion batteries. Lithium-ion batteries generate electric current via the flow of lithium ions across an electrolyte, from an electrode to a cathode.
