Donovan aluminum sbc block was used in a 410 dirt track sprint car. Has 400 mains, 9.020 deck, standard cam location with standard roller cam bearings, 4.145 bore. Sleeves were removed for inspection of entire block, sleeves do go with the block but will need to be reinstalled. There were cracks that had been previously repaired behind sleeves in cylinders number 2&4 as pictured. There is currently a crack that needs repaired in the next to last main web at the base of cylinder #8 dye was used to make it visible in picture. Has not been blown up, no holes or major repairs. Wagoner was meeting with US government officials on Friday when the request was made for him to ‘step aside’. Wagoner had been GM president and CEO since 2000, and chairman since 2003 – his resignation ends a 31-year career with a company.

Aston Martin is really struggling at the moment. Discounts abound (particularly on ’08 model year cars – you can have a V8 Vantage Roadster for not much over £60k, and a DB9 for £75k), and new car sales are as rare as hens teeth. Not surprisingly, there have been deep job cuts, and the dealer network is really struggling to survive.

Dodge Durango Special Service police vehicle released, orders now open

Dodge has added another vehicle to the list of cars drivers should keep an eye out for if they're speeding, the Dodge Durango Special Service. Available for police, fire and “general fleet” customers, the Chrysler Group said it would begin taking orders now, with delivery expected in the second quarter of this year. “We're incredibly excited to add the Dodge Durango Special Service to our lineup of law-enforcement vehicles,” Peter Grady, Chrysler Group vice president of network development and fleet operations, said in a release.
