CDN launches Studio Photos

Car Design News is today launching 'Studio Photos', an extensive new library of high quality car photos taken in a photography studio. Developed in conjunction with automotive design research consultancy Car Men, it is a unique CDN member service created specifically as a visual benchmarking tool for design studios and consultancies who require directly comparable photos of production cars. Most designers or researchers will be familiar with the task of quickly finding good images of specific cars, details of some new model's tail lamp, or the side view of a particular class-leading competitor.

Fiat 500X teaser video ahead of 2014 Paris motor show

Fiat has issued this Youtube video of its new 500X crossover, which is destined to launch the Italian brand into the compact SUV market dominated by the Nissan Juke. Although an annoyingly restricted view of the 500X, it is possible to make out the silhouette and outline of the baby crossover, which goes on sale in the UK in time for the new 15-reg launch in March 2015. The Nissan Land Glider will be at the Tokyo Motor Show We had Toyota’s Jetson-inspired pocket-sized city EV – the Toyota FT-EV II – revealed yesterday and today we get something even smaller from Nissan – the Nissan Land Glider. The Nissan Land Glider is a very narrow and compact two-seat urban electric car. It’s narrow size makes it perfect for parking and its fly-by-wire dual joystick controllers will make anyone much under 50 feel very at home.
