Range Rover Sport Stealth Pack (2014) first photos

By Tim Pollard First Official Pictures 16 June 2014 11:14 Land Rover has tacitly admitted that Range Rover Sport buyers are different to Range Rover customers: the Stealth Pack unveiled today is a personalisation programme which makes RRS models stand out from the crowd. Available on HSE Dynamic and Autobiography Range Rover Sport models only, the Stealth Pack is ironically named: it's designed to make owners stand out, rather than melt into the background. But then that's always been the way with the Range Rover Sport, the model that likes to show off a little more than its more restrained big brother.

Bentley Crossover and Sport Hatch/Estate planned

Bentley are planning an 'Allroad' Estate type car and a two-door Shooting Brake hatch These rumours crop up from time to time – new entry-level models from prestige car makers – but perhaps we need to take some of them a bit more seriously now the world seems to be on a down-sizing path. So we thought it worth at least giving a nod to the rumour that Bentley are planning a pair of entry-level models to slot in below the Continental – in the £70k bracket. Especially as they come from the pen of Georg Kacher, a well-connected and well-respected car journo.

Hennessey Venom GT hits 265.7mph for new world top speed record (+ video)

The Hennessey Venom GT – an American, Lotus Elise-based supercar – has clocked 265.7mph for a new world record top speed for a production car. The world top speed record for a production car has been held by the Bugatti Veyron (well, the Veyron Super Sport) at 258mph, but that’s a ‘limited’ speed for its production cars. The Veyron Super Sport actually hit 267.81mph at VW’s Ehra-Lessian track (it actually hit 269.8mph one way) but because production cars are limited to 258mph the higher speed doesn’t count.
