Aston Martin LOST £24.6 million in 2012

In fact, Aston Martin sales in 2012 – 67,500 units – was still 42,500 down on its pre-recession sales levels of 110,000 cars in 2007 and that lead to yet another loss. Aston Martin has posted pre-tax losses for 2012 of £24,6 million on sales of £461.2 million for 2012, a worsening position over 2011 which saw losses of £21.2 million.

They took with them the usual holiday toys, but they remembered to pack a nice new Jaguar XFR, with a few mods necessary to run at Bonneville (roll cage, fire extinguishers, etc). KIA has surprised the assembled crowds at the Detroit motor show with a stunning sports car concept, the GT4 Stinger. The Korean car company isn’t holding back with its new creation, as the low-slung coupe boasts rear-wheel drive, a 315 horsepower version of its current 2.0-litre turbo petrol motor and dramatic looks. Created by the firm’s Californian design studio, the GT4 Stinger is just the latest example of Kia’s determination to be seen as much more than just a value brand.
