Draw-Tite was started in 1946 by Bill Whichello, an inventor. Bill's first product was a clothes line tightener. He called it a Draw-Tite. Unfortunately, that was about the time residential clothes dryers became popular and there wasn't much call for the original Draw-Tite. Fortunately, Bill was also an avid RV'er. He built a trailer hitch for his car and, since he already had the name copyrighted, he called it a Draw-Tite. Soon, Draw-Tite became a symbol of craftsmanship in the towing industry. The basis of Draw-Tite's continued success is that our trailer hitches are custom-fit for each vehicle. This makes them easy to install. A dealer simply bolts Draw-Tite's one piece, welded trailer hitches to the vehicle's frame. Most installations take 30 minutes or less. Our trailer hitches are covered by a Nationwide/Lifetime limited warranty. We have over 10,000 dealers throughout North America. So wherever you live or travel, there is always a knowledgeable and helpful Draw-Tite dealer nearby. This is especially important when you consider nearly 100% of our consumers use their trailer hitch to tow outside of their local area. Currently, Draw-Tite manufactures over 750 different trailer hitches and over 600 accessories and parts covering approximately 3850 vehicle applications. GM throttles back on performance cars for 2010
Fri, 08 May 2009It should not be a surprise, as General Motors scrambles to cut costs and cars sit unsold on dealers' lots, that the automaker is cutting high-performance versions of several vehicles for the 2010 model year. According to information from online ordering guides made available to GM dealers, the 2009 model year is the last for the Chevrolet Impala SS, the Pontiac G6 GXP and the Cadillac STS-V. Also, the SS trim in the Chevy Cobalt lineup will be limited to the coupe body style.
New Mercedes S 65 AMG revealed as S-Class range-topper
Fri, 08 Nov 2013The 2014 Mercedes S 65 AMG (pictured) revealed ahead of LA & Tokyo debuts We’re assuming that the new 2014 Mercedes S 65 AMG will remain the new range-topper for the S-Class, but with Pullman versions of the S-Class still to come – perhaps with the Maybach badge – that’s not a certainty. But for now, the newly-revealed S65 AMG is indeed the top of the range in the new S-Class and will get its public debut at both the Los Angles and Tokyo Motor Shows later this month. We’ve actually already seen a photo of the new S65 AMG back in September when Mercedes were busy filming a promo, but now we get the full details ahead of debut.
2013 Ford SVT Raptor to offer more off-road options
Tue, 26 Jun 2012Ford will offer some unique upgrades for its off-road terror, the F-150 SVT Raptor, in the 2013 model year. According to Ford, the truck will offer an industry-first—beadlock wheels direct from the factory. Beadlocks allow the driver to secure the edges of the tire to the wheel by clamping the tire between the wheel and a beadlock ring kit from Ford Racing.
