Hyundai revealed its redesigned 2015 Sonata sedan in South Korea on Monday. Until now all we've seen are teaser shots of the company's second-best selling vehicle, which falls behind the smaller Elantra in sales by about 5,000 units per year. It will make its North American debut at the New York auto show in April.

Kia revealed three electrified cars at the Chicago Auto Show on Thursday, one concept and two that are headed for production. The Niro hybrid is Kia’s future take on a city car, while the Soul EV and new Optima hybrid will be out later this year. -- Here's yet another gem we first saw over at Hemmings: The first, and (so far as we know) only Antarctic hot rod ever built. It might be from 1968-'71; not much else is known, except that it was probably constructed by Navy SeaBees operating out of McMurdo Station. From the one photo we have, it looks like it could have a Jeep flathead four up front.
