Dodge Challenger, Charger get new V6 muscle
Thu, 21 Oct 2010Dodge is getting competitive in the horsepower wars. After years of languishing with a 250-hp V6 in the Charger and Challenger muscle cars, both are getting a substantial power boost. New VW Golf R Mk 7 costs from £29,900 in the UK
Fri, 08 Nov 2013The new VW Golf R (pictured) costs from £29,900 The best of the MK 7 Golfs – the new Golf R – arrived back in August ahead of its debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show, with Volkswagen telling us it would go on sale in early 2014. But it’s actually on sale now, a few weeks early. At £29,900 (for the 3-door with 6-speed manual), the Golf R is a sensible price ( at least in comparison to VW’s truly silly price for the MK 6 Golf R Cabrio – which they subsequently dropped by more than £5k) and undercuts the similar Audi S3.
Volkswagen UK’s dealer showrooms get a revamp

Are car showrooms a relic of the past or the perfect way, still, to showcase the offerings from a car maker? Volkswagen are taking no chances on the future and have already rolled out their ‘Digital Showrooms’ across the dealer network where staff get iPads and advanced web tools to try and bring the on-line and off-line worlds in to a workable intersection, and offer customers virtual product that wouldn’t otherwise be available on show.
