Brand:Edelbrock Placement on Vehicle:Front Manufacturer Part Number:1406 Surface Finish:Satin

This listing is for an almost new Edelbrock 1406 Performer Carburator.

  • Square bore
  • 600 CFM
  • Electric Choke
  • Satin Finish
  • Includes both timed (ported) and full manifold vacuum ports for vacuum advance if needed.

This carb was installed for less than 200 miles.  It performed flawlessly, with easy starts and excellent throttle response.  I replaced it with a larger carb because I modified my motor with a big cam and aluminum heads, so the Edelbrock became surplus.  I was really impressed with the performance and drivability of the Edelbrock, but it was too small for the heavily modified engine.

This carb is clean and ready to bolt on - just like a new carb.

Hyundai delays Sonata Hybrid deliveries for change in sound device

Fri, 04 Mar 2011

Delivery to dealerships of most of Hyundai's initial Sonata Hybrids has been delayed until at least late March because the brand is altering the car’s device that emits an artificial engine noise at low speeds. Hyundai planned to have the car available in January but only a small number of the vehicles are in dealer stock, Hyundai spokesman Jim Trainor said. Trainor declined to say how many Sonata Hybrids have arrived in the United States but said about 700 units are in port or at sea.

A lot of people complain about the fact that the future started years ago, and, yet, no one’s produced a viable flying car. That disappointment is misplaced. The real tragedy is that Mazda never mass produced the suitcase car.
