Our three Super Flow computerized engine dynos are capable of measuring 11 separate engine variables up to speeds of 12,000 rpm. For 2007, we added a new Super Flow SF902 engine dyno. It's fully automated and programmable to simulate various driving situations, and is equipped with WinDyn software for the very latest in testing equipment. For real-world tuning, there's our Super Flow model SF-840 eddy-current chassis dyno that can handle up to 1,000 hp at the wheels and speeds of 200 mph. When all testing is completed, the results evaluated, and the part has passed all performance criteria, then, and only then, is the product deemed ready for production. These precise testing procedures are applied to the entire Edelbrock line for performance that's guaranteed. Edelbrock test vehicles are driven by Edelbrock engineers and employees to get a "real world" feeling for the performance improvements. We broke the news that Lamborghini were planning a roofless version of the Reventon Coupe back in March, and apart from the fact that no one believed our ‘Scoop’ – and we had Lamborghini on the phone asking us to retract the story – we were sure the information we had was real. So it was more than a little gratifying when were able to report that Lamborghini were doing a private reveal of the Reventon Roadster in July and finally the Lamborghini Reventon Roadster was launched at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September.
NADA asks U.S. to suspend clunkers program
Thu, 20 Aug 2009National Automobile Dealers Association officials asked the government to suspend the cash-for-clunkers program because a survey by the group found that the $3 billion fund has been exhausted, NADA Chairman John McEleney said. "We asked them to put a halt to the program--I think we said 'very soon'--but a suspension at midnight tonight would make sense," McEleney said in an interview Wednesday. "Our survey opened the eyes of the Transportation Department." A suspension would allow dealers to submit all pending claims and permit the government to process them so that a precise determination could be made of how much money, if any, is left in the program, he said.
LSE shows the Range Rover Sport ‘Tiret’ Coupe
Fri, 27 Mar 2009A bespoke version of the LSE Range Rover Sport Coupe - The Tiret Coupe - currently on show at the Baselworld Show in Switzerland The LSE Coupe is not quite as radical as the original Stormer Concept, but it goes a good way to addressing the style issues that surround the Land Rover version of the car; the LSE is certainly more individual. Powered by either the regular 4.2 supercharged lump (or the TDV8 as an option), the standard S/C lump can be tweaked to deliver either 480bhp or 520bhp. But even the regular S/C in the LSE comes with a tweaked ECU to deliver more power and torque than the standard unit.
