Founded in 1999, Edge Products has become the premier name for aftermarket performance electronics. Initially, the company was built on its efforts to produce performance electronics for diesel-powered trucks. Over the years, however, Edge has expanded its offerings to include cutting-edge products for the gas, truck, and Jeep markets. Edge has been named three times to the Inc. 500's fastest growing privately held companies, and was noted as Utah's fourth fastest growing company between 1999 and 2004. Edge currently employs more than 100 individuals and resides in a 40,000 square foot facility in Ogden, Utah. Edge produces modules and programmers for all major vehicle manufacturers, including Ford, Chevy, Dodge, Jeep, and RV under the following brands: the A2, Juice, Attitude, Evolution, EZ, Insight, Mileage Max, and Trail Jammer. Since its inception, Edge has been known for the power its modules and programmers produce. However, what sets the company apart from its competitors is its monitoring capabilities. Coupled with the additional gains in horsepower, Edge's ability to display multiple engine parameters - and to provide associated safety features for those parameters on its stylish in-cab monitors - has revolutionized the industry. Edge endeavors to produce the highest quality products on the market and to deliver them with superior customer and technical support. On March 31, 2006, became a part of the MSD Performance Family (Which includes MSD Ignition, Superchips and Racepak). Edge, however, will remain in Ogden and will continue to operate as its own entity.

McLaren P1 almost sold out

Fri, 30 Aug 2013

The McLaren P1 (pictured) is almost sold out The last time McLaren decided to build a supercar to beat all supercars was with the McLaren F1 but, despite it’s huge ability and now iconic status – and huge value – they had to give up making it after just 64 cars as they couldn’t find buyers. Fortunately – for McLaren are a bit stretched non all fronts at the moment – it seems that history isn’t repeating itself with the new McLaren P1 as reports today suggest the P1 is all but sold out. Autocar are reporting there are just a handful of the 375 P1s left to sell, with the P1 allocation for America, the Middle East and Asia already sold out and just a handful of cars left for Europe and other parts of the world.

Extreme sports safety kit to inspire Volvo technologies

Tue, 07 Jan 2014

SWEDISH car maker Volvo is aiming to develop new safety technologies based on processes used to make extreme sports safety gear. The firm has announced a partnership with POC, another Swedish company, which designs lightweight, strong and high-tech safety equipment for climbers, snowboarders, mountain bikers and other extreme sports fanatics. The initial focus will be on the relationship between cars and cyclists, with the specific aim of developing a one-way method of communicating that the driver has seen the cyclist.

Day 2 at the International CES

Wed, 09 Jan 2013

If you have never seen a 110-inch, ultra-high-definition TV screen, where every molecule of digital delirium dances across the screen in pulses of pixelated promiscuity, well, you're really missing out. Samsung had one such monster screen at the corner of its booth, sporting 4000 pixels per square inch and the techno geeks swooned in front of it like the truly faithful in the front row of a Celine Dion concert at Caesars Palace. For our part, we sat transfixed before it more like the monkeys in 2001: A Space Odyssey.
