New BMW 4 Series: Official – Full specs, prices and photos

Fri, 14 Jun 2013

The new 2014 BMW 4 Series (pictured) has been revealed ahaed of a Frankfurt debut We had the arrival of the new BMW 4 Series as a concept back in  December, but this afternoon BMW has revealed details of the production 4 Series ahead of a debut at Frankfurt in September. Looking little changed from the concept, the new 4 Series – a replacement for the old 3 Series Coupe – sits on the same basic platform as the new 3 Series but with wider track and lower suspension. A bit longer, a bit wider and a bit lower than the old 3 Series Coupe, the new 4 Series also gets a longer wheelbase – a bit more room in the back – and weight rises a bit too.

New 2011 / 2012 Ferrari 612 is 4×4 Shooting Brake

Fri, 31 Dec 2010

The 2011 / 2012 Ferrari 612 will be a 4x4 Shooting Brake (render by Vandenbrink design) Last month we had an email in from Argentina pointing us towards spy shots published by Autoblog Argentina which seemed to be of an all wheel drive Ferrari 612. Which tied in very well with the story we ran over a year ago when we reported that a 4×4 platform for the next Ferrari 612 was a certainty, just six months after we reported Ferrari were working on four wheel drive hybrid propulsion system. But the Ferrari 4×4 setup is very different to the permanent all wheel drive system used by Lamborghini.

Mercury dies off, Lincoln to benefit

Thu, 03 Jun 2010

Ford's brand portfolio is set to get smaller by the end of the year. Following the sale of Aston Martin, Land Rover, Jaguar and most recently Volvo (to Chinese automaker Geely), the Blue Oval has now announced the demise of its 'middle of the range' Mercury brand, with production of the last vehicles set to cease at the end of 2010. In a statement released to media, Ford announced that the shuttering of the 71-year old Mercury brand was in the interest of focusing on Lincoln, the automaker's only remaining premium brand.
