On the thermocouple side of any instrument it is important to use what they call a compensated connector this means that the connector has to be made of the same alloy's as the type used in the a type "K" thermocouple. Using any other alloy will cause the instruments reading to have an error. To simplify the ordering process EGT has optional Type K connections.

Please let us know which connector is desired at checkout.

(Consult factory for the mating connector)

Lexus IS (2013) first official pictures

Thu, 10 Jan 2013

These are the first official pictures of the all-new 2013 Lexus IS. Challenging the likes of the BMW 3-series, Mercedes C-class and Audi A4, the new IS has gone under the knife and the new iteration has a more athletic and vigorous-looking design, judging by these photos.   Sporting an updated, pleasingly chiselled front end, the new IS takes inspiration from the LF-CC concept shown at 2012’s Paris motor show. The new IS features the new 'spindle' front grille which adorns all new Lexus models, decorated with a new headlamp cluster design and the trademark L-shaped daytime running lights set independently below.

Jaguar B99 by Bertone: Still looks like Jaguar past to us

Wed, 02 Mar 2011

The Bertone B99 Jaguar Concept – Still looks like a pastiche to us With Jaguar looking more than seriously at a New Small Jaguar to take the BMW 3 Series on at its own game, it seems almost certain Jaguar’s had a part to play in the design of Bertone’s take on a smaller Jaguar – the Bertone B99. Did they purposely ask Bertone to style a car that draws big cues from Jaguar’s own history? Or was that Bertone’s doing?

If our story last month on the TVR Griffith whet your appetite for these rare Brits, set your nav system for the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course in Lexington, Ohio, and be there June 24-26. The Griffith Motorcar Club International will be hosting Richard “Dick” Monnich, the first TVR importer in the United States and the catalyst for the Ford 289-powered TVR Griffith, as part of the fifth-annual Gathering of Griffiths & TVRs. Event organizer and former Griffith factory test driver Mike Mooney claims all three Griffith body styles will be present, along with a British-produced TVR 500.
