GM to buy Tesla? Seems highly unlikely
Wed, 01 Jan 2014GM to buy Tesla? Seems highly unlikely Tesla is more like a technology company than a car maker, but it’s managed to turn out a very able car in the Model S; perhaps the only car made so far that really is an alternative to an ICE car. That success has lead a US analyst - Yra Harris of Praxis – to declare that GM has Tesla in its sights as an acquisition target in 2014.
Tesla Model S UK Prices – starts at £54,900
Tue, 12 Nov 2013Tesla Model S UK Prices – starts at £54,900 We’d always expected the appealing Tesla Model S EV to cost at least £60k for the entry-level model, so it’s a pleasant surprise that you’ll be able to grab the 60kWh model with its (up to) 240 mile range for £49,900 after the UK taxpayer has chipped in a £5,000 bribe to get you to drive an EV. Even the range-topping Model S Performance with its 310 mile range, 416bhp and a very rapid 0-62mph of 4.2 seconds will only cost £68,700 (after £5k rebate). That’s almost a bargain, especially if you get your model S courtesy of your business.
Land Rover starts voyage of Discovery with Virgin Galactic (2014)
Tue, 15 Apr 2014By Phil McNamara First Official Pictures 15 April 2014 09:30 Land Rover took a giant leap in New York last night, unveiling a concept car vision of the new Discovery family and announcing a partnership with Virgin Galactic. The Discovery was revealed on the deck of the USS Intrepid aircraft carrier alongside Virgin's SpaceShipTwo, the rocketship charged with making space tourism a commercial reality. Land Rover's SUVs will be the taxi of choice for budding, wealthy astronauts, attending Virgin's New Mexico base for training and space flights.
