Lexus IS sedan highlights SEMA show display

This is the year of the IS for Lexus at the SEMA show, with seven of the sports sedans all together on different stands scattered around various halls of the Las Vegas Convention Center. But there will also be one LFA and a bicycle. Let's start with the LFA.

Land Rover Expedition America presses on through the Rocky Mountains

Land Rover Expedition America is more than halfway across the country, three weeks after having departed Asheville, N.C., on their 5,000-mile route through 10 states. The team is traveling all the way across the country in three Land Rover LR4s -- from sea to shining sea if you will -- almost entirely off-road. The Oregon coast is their destination, and the team is following a route based on an off-road motorcycle trailed created by Sam Corero, a famous off-road motorcyclist who charted this trail back in the 1990s.

This new Audi A1 might have a long and convoluted name – it's the A1 1.4 TFSI (136 kW) – but it's not an Audi S1 by another name. While everyone has been expecting a hot version of the A1 to be unveiled at next week's Paris motor show (and this is it), it's not dubbed S1 because there's an even hotter version of the A1 still to come. Meanwhile, this first tuned and tweaked version of the A1 uses the same engine as the VW Polo GTI, Skoda Fabia vRS and Seat Ibiza Cupra.
