Cars, Harleys among items to be sold in dealer bankruptcy auction

Three cars, five Harley-Davidson motorcycles and five boats are among the items from bankrupt Minnesota car dealer Denny Hecker being auctioned off to raise money for creditors. The item list for the May 25 auction in New Germany, Minn., includes a 2004 Cadillac Escalade, a 2004 Mitsubishi Eclipse Spyder convertible and a 2002 Mitsubishi Montero SUV. This is the third sale of Hecker's possessions since last August to raise money for creditors.

2014 EyesOn Design Vehicle Categories Announced

The vehicle categories for this year's EyesOn Design exhibition have been announced. Each of the seventeen categories has been selected to complement the theme of this year's – 'Automotive design's influence on popular culture'. BMW to supply engines to Saab, reports say

Saab and BMW AG have agreed on a deal that allows the Swedish carmaker to use engines made by BMW, according to a person with direct knowledge of the matter. Saab will initially purchase BMW engines for the 9-3 model that is scheduled for release in late 2012, said the person, who asked not to be identified before a contract is signed. The carmakers plan to sign and announce the pact in Trollhattan, Sweden, on Wednesday, the person said.
