Ferrari California Handling Speciale (2012) first pictures

This is Ferrari’s revised California, which will be unveiled at the Geneva motor show in March 2012. It’s got more power, weighs less, and can be optioned with a chassis-sharpening Handling Speciale package, all features scooped by CAR last year. The California caused quite a stir when it was launched, ushering in a whole host of firsts for Ferrari: it was the company’s first convertible with a folding metal roof; the first with a double-clutch gearbox, the first front-engined V8 Ferrari, and the first with direct-injection engine technology.

Concept Car of the Week: Mazda Taiki (2007)

Mazda had been doing fantastically well with its concepts since the end of 2006, and its offering for the 2007 Tokyo motor show didn't buck the trend. The fourth in the 'Nagare' series that explored the idea of 'Flow, it lined up on the Mazda stand with its older brothers for the first time, and was understandably a most impressive display and one of the highlights of this show. The Jaguar C-X75, pictured at Goodwood ahead of its Supercar run Jaguar are pulling out all the stops for this year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed with not only their latest performance cars but the debut of the Jaguar Project 7, an F-Type R with the DNA of a D-Type. But they’ve topped all that by deciding that their canned supercar project – the Jaguar C-X75 – deserves a proper outing in public. Jaguar only have five development versions of the C-X75, but they’ve taken one to Goodwood – although it’s not on display – and are wheeling it out over the weekend to take part in the Michelin Supecar run up the hill.
