McLaren Automotive launches bespoke operations division

McLaren Automotive has today announced the launch of the McLaren Special Operations division, which will be responsible for the delivery of bespoke projects for McLaren sports cars. The division celebrated its launch with an example of the new MP4-12C, finished in Volcano Orange with a number of bespoke carbon upgrades, at the 2011 Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance. Bespoke designs featuring on the vehicle are diamond cut finish wheels with gloss black inners, MP4-12C branded carbon sill panels, a carbon steering wheel, front wheelarch louvres and carbon fiber engine cover vents, rear deck vent and wiper system cover.

Porsche has released a new Video of the Porsche Panamera But with the first Panameras getting out on the road, and the Porsche Panamera launching in the UK (Porsche Panamera UK prices) in September, Porsche has released a promotional video showing a ‘Day in the Life’ of its new 4-door coupe. The Panamera comes in three flavours to start with – the Panamera S (V8), the Panamera 4S (V8) and the Panamera Turbo (V8 Turbo) – with prices starting from £72,266 and rising to £95,298. Citroen Numero 9 Concept Citroen has revealed the Numero 9 Concept ahead of the Beijing Motor Show – which we thought was the DS9 – and revealed 3 new DS models planned. The Citroen DS range is due to launch in China during 2012, and the impressive Citroen Numero 9 Concept – which we’d assumed was going to be the Citroen DS9 (and may still be) – has been conceived to mark the launch of DS at Beijing later this month. A big Citroen flagship has been on the cards for some time and the Numero 9 is an evolution of the Citroen Metropolis Concept, which we thought could become the DS6, and is probably destined to go in to production at some point as the DS9.
