Peugeot Adds Estate To Acclaimed 308 Range

FRENCH car maker Peugeot had released details of its new medium-size estate, the 308 SW, which should start hitting showrooms in June. Hoping to build on the success of its recently launched 308 hatchback, the SW promises the same level of standard equipment, Peugeot’s newfound bold approach to exterior design and wallet-friendly petrol and diesel engines. Prices will start from £16,895 for the entry-level 110 horsepower 1.2-litre petrol model, while engine stop-start, both manual and automatic gearboxes will be offered along with selected engines dipping to 85g/km CO2.

The 2009 Los Angeles Motor Show Starts on 4th December This coming week see the start of the Los Angeles Motor Show, the last major car show of the year and one which you would normally see dominated by high end exotica, such is the wealth and general demographic of the West Coast USA. Jaguar Land Rover UK appoints Jeremy Hicks (pictured) as Managing Director Jaguar Land Rover have decided to tidy up their management structure at JLR UK, and have appointed a single Managing Director for Jaguar Land Rover UK, which brings JLR UK in to line with the practice in other JLR regions around the world. Historically, probably because Jaguar and Land Rover were originally separate entities in the UK, Jaguar UK and Land Rover UK have had their own Managing Directors – until this reshuffle they were Geoff Cousins at Jaguar and Colin Green at Land Rover – but with JLR growing strongly worldwide it was felt it was time to tidy things up. That means the arrival of former Audi UK boss Jeremy Hicks to the fold as the new MD of JLR UK.
