2011 Chevy Camaro Convertible revealed

The 2011 Chevy Camaro Convertible - V8 only in the UK It’s been a few years in the making, but Chevrolet has finally taken the wraps off the convertible version of the latest  Chevy Camaro ahead of its debut at the LA Motor Show next week. The Chevrolet Camaro Convertible – although no one will call it anything other than the Camaro Convertible, or maybe Chevy Camaro Convertible – goes in to production in January and will arrive in the UK and Europe in 2011. GM claim that the work they’ve done to make the Camaro work as a soft top has resulted in a  car that has better torisonal rigidity than a 3-Series Covertible, thanks to stuff like a tower-to-tower brace under the hood, a transmission support reinforcement brace.

Honda showed off two new Civics at the NAIAS 2011: the Civic Si Concept Coupe and the Civic Concept Saloon. They're sadly US-market only, rather than related to the European spec models, themselves up for replacement at the end of 2011. Although 'concepts', these two effectively show what will roll into US showrooms in spring 2011.  The blurb is pretty strict on the difference between the American and Euro Civics: 'The Civic Si coupe and saloon Concepts are US-only design and will not be sold in the UK.

Historic Motoring Awards Car of the Year 2013 shortlist revealed

Think of this as the alternative Car of the Year competition. You won't find any diesel hatchbacks, practical MPVs or mk7 Volkswagen Golfs in the 2013 International Historic Motoring Awards. The awards celebrate the 'best of the best' in the international historic motoring industry, with the 'Birkin' Bentley picking up the award in 2012.
