Dassault Systèmes and Riversimple partner for eCar Design Contest

Dassault Systèmes, in collaboration with Riversimple and the 40 Fires foundation, launched their eCar Design Contest recently, designed to encourage cooperation and the development of ideas on an open source platform. The companies had been in talks for some time regarding a joint project and this competition – a completely holistic, closed-loop approach to the building, sale and use of a car – is the result of their successful collaboration. Lexus has just released pricing for its refreshed GX 460 SUV, or LUV as Lexus likes to call it, for Luxury Utility Vehicle. The most noticeable change on the outside is the updated corporate fascia in the form of the Lexus spindle grille, though the freshened GX 460 also gets LED headlights, along with daytime running lights and available LED fog lights. More importantly, the GX 460 will get a $4,710 price cut.
